Target audience: This course is primarily intended for Science, Engineering and Medical & Health Science postgraduate research students in their second or third year.

Course:

Developing and applying knowledge around intellectual property is an essential part of the research process and every project will inevitably raise issues to be addressed. If you would like to learn and discuss intellectual property topics relevant to academic research then this course is for you.

The course will focus on the identification and management of IP and their associated rights in academic research. This is a valuable opportunity to learn from the experience and expertise of the course tutor and to raise any issues you are facing.

Aims/ Objectives:

This course provides an opportunity for you to explore intellectual property relevant to your own research in more depth.

By the end of the course you will:

• understand potential solutions to intellectual property  issues raised in your own research and be able to apply them to your project.
