Under 18s Safeguarding additional module: Event planning and management (Online Course)

Overview:
This course will help you to plan and manage safe events, activities or work experience for under 18s. It aims to familiarise you with relevant points from the University of Nottingham safeguarding procedures and support you to apply them in your role as an activity organiser.

The training is designed for staff working with children and young people who are not current students. For example, prospective undergraduate students, or attendees at outreach, sport, or community activities.

Estimated completion time: 25 minutes

Pre-requisites: complete the under 18s safeguarding core training before taking this module.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand the role of the event or programme lead in safeguarding
• Be equipped to manage and document safeguarding risks for events
• Be able to adapt approaches to suit different types of events and activities
