Course Description:

This workshop is an excellent introduction into the vital topic of assessment, and will be very useful to anyone involved in marking student work or setting assessments. It considers what the purposes of assessment are, and describes a number of different assessment methods. Key issues are identified for the designing of assessments which are 'constructively aligned'. The workshop covers assessment strategies, marking criteria and good practice in giving feedback to students.
