This course is 18 hours in duration and provides a complete set of practical skills needed by first aiders in their workplaces to become confident and competent as a nominated first aider. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations.

To achieve this, there will be 12 hours (over 2 days) of practical training on campus, preceded by a minimum 6 hours of off-site learning.

Each learner is continuously assessed by the trainer/assessor during their training and then a practical assessment is conducted on the last day. It is then both the responsibility and decision of the trainer/assessor to determine if each learner has reached the level required to become a first aider within the work place.

 Successful learners will be certified by The International Certification and Training Academy (TICTA) which is valid for three years from course completion date.
