This workshop will provide you with the advice on how to prepare for and deliver a lecture.  You will consider your role and teaching approaches that support learning in lectures.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Recognise the key features of how students experience learning in large groups;
  • Describe an appropriate pedagogical approach to support student learning;
  • Design and structure an effective lecture to maintain student interest and encourage active learning;
  • Prepare and plan to deliver a lecture in your discipline.
