IATA Infectious Substances Training

The IATA (International Air Transport Association) Infectious Substances training is a one-day course covering the following topics:

 

  • Category A Infectious substances

  • Cat B Infectious substances

  • Exempt human and animal specimens

  • Genetically modified organisms (GMMs and GMOs)

  • Dry ice, dry and wet nitrogen shippers, plus limited quantities and excepted quantities (alcohols, formalin etc)

  • (The course can be custom written to include any other topics - plants for example)


It will be an examined and certificated course, and therefore legally binding for all potential carriers (DHL, FedEx etc), and will be valid for two years.


Included in the course fee are loan copies of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, full course notes, validation and certificates for successful candidates.

 

 

Costs:
  

The cost of the course will be split by the number of attendees - with 10 attendees, each attendee would pay approximately £166. This includes a fee of £16.50 for the allocation of a candidate number from the CAA.

If you are intending to travel by car to the training venue, please allow sufficient time to locate a parking space and to walk to the training venue, as parking may not be available immediately adjacent.
