Who Should Attend

The course is open to both staff and PG students.  Prior attendance at the Lean Overview Course or previous relevant experience is required.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will lead and deliver a work based project through the application of lean tools and methodology.

Key tools and principles will include:

• Defining problems;
• Understanding customer requirements;
• Process mapping;
• Gathering data and conducting analysis;
• Establishing root cause;
• Implementation workshops;
• Monitoring and reporting.

Special Requirements Process

Tutor input and practical activities supporting a work based project.  This course requires attendance at 8 modular sessions of 2 hours.
