Learning Outcomes:
At the completion of this course you should be able to:

  • create a structure for a long document to aid automation (eg table of contents, page and section numbering, captions and references)
  • use a range of formatting techniques to position text and paragraphs
  • define and modify multi-level lists
  • apply and manage styles
  • change or add levels in a table of contents
  • learn how to work with section breaks
  • customise number formatting across sections/chapters in footers
  • work with captions
  • create and delete cross-references
  • working with the navigation view and collapsing document headings

The course is designed to build on the skills acquired as part of the “Microsoft Word – Essentials” course. 
Therefore you are strongly recommended to attend this course, or be confident that you can demonstrate proficiency in these skills.
