The Linux for HPC Users is aimed at researchers who need to learn how to use the Linux operating system and the BASH shell.  The course assumes no Linux knowledge whatsoever and is designed to provide enough hands-on, practical Linux skills for the researcher to be confident they could log in to any Linux system, explore their log in environment (the shell), manipulate their environment, and write simple scripts.

This course is a recommended pre-requisite to the How to use the UoN HPC course.
