Who should attend 

Anyone who wants a broad understanding of mental health, including Line Managers 

Overview 

This half day course is an introductory session to raise awareness of mental health.  We use Mental Health First Aid England (MHFA) materials, and the course is led by an approved MHFA instructor.   

Learning outcomes 

  • An understanding of what mental health is and how to challenge stigma
  • A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues
  • An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing

Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue


Please Note:  This is a programme developed and accredited by Mental Health First Aid England and is a 4-hour course.  Unfortunately, we are unable to provide lunch, but if you would like to bring your own food then you are at liberty to eat it during the session.
