Teaching staff wanting to learn about the process of identifying, wisely selecting or creating, and using recources with their students.

Course Description:


This course aims to answer your questions about how to find, select and successfully make use of learning resources.


Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Identify, evaluate and explore potential uses in teaching of a variety of learning resources - ranging from books to multimedia;
  • Choose among these resources based on factors such as student characteristics, course type and level, the nature of your teaching situation, and your own preferences;
  • Make decisions in relation to planning, locating and designing learning resources, effectively presenting them to students (whether face-to-face or online) and linking them with other aspects of your course;
  • Evaluate how well the resources functioned.


About this course

This online course was produced by Epigeum as part of their University and College Teaching (UCT) programme.  Each course will take between 2 and 4 hours to complete, and is equivalent to a half-day workshop.
