The Parent and Teen 'Connectness' Programme

Description (Day 2)

Building on Day 1 (Understanding Your Adolescent's Brain Part 1: Building Connected Relationships to Protect Against Risk-Taking Behaviour), this workshop is designed to empower you by supporting the development of the confident attitude needed to parent today's teens and pre-teens.  Learn how to construct respectful relationships with your child and to open and maintain lines of communication between you.

Attendees will also explore methods in which assertive relationships can be developed when working with and seeking support from external service providers such as schools or social services.

This programme is delivered by Annika Vassel, who is a psychologist with over 25 years experience specialising in adolescent behaviour, and who operates a 'No Judgement - No Blame - No Shame' approach in training events.

These courses are appropriate for staff with children aged between 9 - 19 years.

Q&A can be taken throughout the day to gain clarity on addressing specific needs as related to the workshop.
