Who should attend:

All staff who have reviewed the online ADC Pod Briefings and are familiar with the ADC Guidelines.

Learning Outcomes

  • How to understand the wider strategic context in which everyone is working (via the balanced framework approach)
  • How to build confidence to discuss, agree and develop good quality objectives within the strategic context Ivia the balanced framework templates)
  • How to construct and create good quality, meaningful and developmental objectives
  • Understand the importance of ongoing conversations supported by the annual ADC
  • How to discuss and explore 'how' work has been achieved as well as what has been achieved (using the Building a Culture for Success Guide as a tool to facilitate this conversation)
  • How to have effective discussions about developmental needs and opportunities (both in the short and longer term)
  • How the ADC cycle operates
  • Practical knowledge on how to fill out the form
Participants will be able to:
  • Describe the ADC process;
  • Understand their role within it;
  • Prepare for their ADC meeting with confidence;
  • Complete the ADC form correctly;
  • Write a set of SMART goals for the coming year (including both performance and development goals);.
