Who should attend?

Teaching staff with experience, who have an interest in enhancing student learning through the active development of critical thinking skills  Not suitable for PGR's unless significant classroom delivery experience.

Course Description:

This workshop will offer an opportunity to experience a selection of classroom activities designed to enhance staff understanding and confidence associated with critical thinking skills  These approaches can be delivered to inform curriculum design, teaching practice, assessment design and collaborative learning activities.

A 'cabaret' of activities will form the main part of the workshop, with time incorporated for evaluation and discussion into practice  These approaches are interdisciplinary and adaptable for a range of scenarios.

  • Demonstrate a range of critical thinking classroom activities
  • Design an approach to CT for application into practice
