This even is open to all staff who are likely to supervise projects or dissertations.



The workshop will include short inputs from the tutor to introduce and summarise discussion topics.  Where possible and appropriate participants will be invited to consider examples of practice and short scenarios and to discuss their views and questions with colleagues on the course.

Learning Outcomes for the session:

Participants will be able to:

  • Consider the role of project or dissertations within the modern curriculum
  • Reflect the role of the supervisor in supporting student learning
  • Support students to undertake, progress and successfully complete dissertations or projects
  • Guide students on their report/dissertatin writing and provide them with constructive feedback
