This sessions combines presentation with discussion and case studies.

Aim:

To provide an overview of unconscious bias, what action the university is taking around it, and how individuals can address it.

Learning outcomes:

  • Identify what unconscious bias is and its potential impact;
  • Discuss unconscious bias in teaching and learning;
  • Identify key areas of practice impacted by unconscious bias and what staff can do about it.
