Overview

This workshop is for members of the School of Medicine, and delivered by an expert colleague. It is for anyone wishing to know more about unconscious bias in depth and aims to outline how we can mitigate its effects in decision-making processes.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop participants should be able to:

• Identify what unconscious bias is and its potential impact
• Explore and describe specific issues with unconscious bias in recruitment and other decision-making situations
• Identify actions individuals can take to mitigate it’s effects in these situations
