Event Description

This brief workshop is for any member of staff with line manager responsibility who wants to know more about expectations in ensuring practice in managing team and individual activity; managing difficult EDI conversations (e.g. accusations of bullying or inappropriate language) and responding to issues around bullying or harassment.

 

Learning outcomes

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Identify University expectations of line managers around a broad range of Equality, Diversity and inclusion issues;
  • Consider how to manage disclosure of sensitive information around disability and gender identity;
  • Appreciate what inclusive language is, and why it is important.
