Course Description:

Teaching international students can come with its own challenges, not least the difficulties of communicating across cultures. This workshop provides an opportunity to explore some of these differences and to examine different ways to approach them. Includes tutor-led input and group discussion.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify and discuss the ways in which cultural difference impacts on learning capacity
  • Examine ways in which understanding and communication can be improved


Who should attend?

The course is suitable for experienced staff. An alternative is offered for less experienced postgraduate teachers or early career researchers called 'Teaching Students from Different Cultures'.
