Microsoft Excel: Working with Charts

In this course you will learn how to use the most appropriate chart type to present your data in a way that really engages your audience.  Working with a range of chart types will enable you and your audience to easily understand your data after all, a picture says a thousand words!

Learning Outcomes:


At the completion of this course you should be able to:

  • Create effective charts by selecting the correct data ranges
  • Create a range of common charts including, line, scatter, combo and box and whisker
  • Use a range of techniques to enhance charts for example, error bars and trend lines
  • Customise the formatting of charts using axis, legends, 3D, background images, titles, data labels etc. 

Pre-Requisites:
The course is designed for participants who have attended the “Microsoft Excel The Foundation of Spreadsheet Creation” course.

To participate in this session you will need to have the latest version of Microsoft Office installed on your device before the session starts. If you are unsure if you have the latest version please see the Install Office Updates web page.  This session will focus on the Windows version of Microsoft Office.
