ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management (Award or Certificate Programme)
Duration 3 days
Team Professional Development

Who should attend?

Please click here for a full description of the ILM programmes we offer to see which is the right training course for you: http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/professionaldevelopment/qualifications/ilm-qualifications.aspx.

These courses are NOT open to postgraduate students - they are designed for University staff only.

This qualification is most suitable if you are operating at Levels 4 or 5 in your job family. You should provide leadership to an operational plan and manage workload; communicate plans and objectives and build engagement; manage individual and team performance as a team manager or in the context of a project; support and lead change projects and initiate improvement. The time horizon for your planning will be mostly medium term, 1-3 years.

As part of the course, you will undertake a project of your choice based on your own real work needs. This can be either in response to a situation which needs to be resolved or a new possibility you would like to explore.

Aspiring managers at Level 3+ in your job family may also attend provided you fulfil the above criteria and your line manager is able to supply a statement supporting your attendance pre-course – this should be provided via the Line Manager Approval Form.

Registration process

Please complete the delegate registration online form when you book your ILM training course.

You should also ask your line manager to complete the online Line Manager Approval Form to confirm their approval for you to attend this training course.

Please ensure that you can commit to all 4 full days from 9.30 am - 4.30 pm before booking a place, as full attendance is mandatory for this ILM programme.

Cost

Note:
There is a £150 charge payable by the School/Department to attend this course and you must attend all of the days to gain certification. If you don't attend Day 1 without giving at least 3 days' notice, and the place is not taken by another delegate, then the School/Department will still be charged.

Please note that lunch will not be offered as part of this course.

Candidates can work towards either the concise Award or the broader Certificate in Leadership and Management - Level 3. The taught element of the programme remains the same regardless of which qualification is selected, although the assessment and independent learning requirements are greater for the Certificate route.
