Aims:
To provide an overview of the processes, and support available, for staff to disclose a disability or request reasonable adjustments.
Learning outcomes:
Appreciate the legal and philosophical frameworks which underpin the University’s approach to supporting disabled staff;
Understand what constitutes a disability;
Understand the process for making a disability disclosure;
Understand what a ‘reasonable adjustment’ might be and how to request reasonable adjustments.
Who should attend:
Any member of staff who wants to know more about how the university approaches disability issues – particularly disclosing a disability and making a reasonable adjustment.
