Duration 1 day
Team Central Short Courses

Who should attend

Staff who would like to explore what we mean by quality and how it is evident in our practice and development.

Description

The 2016 University Teaching and Learning conference will address the issue of defining and measuring quality in teaching.  Our plenary speaker will explore our use of student perceptions, student performance, peer evaluation and reference to scholarly work to enable us to make decisions about what constitutes good teaching, or a good teacher.  The remainder of the day will be devoted to discussion on how concepts of quality relate to our own practice in planning and undertaking teaching, collecting and using student feedback, and evidencing quality for reward or recognition.
