Process: Webinar - Presentations from the panel members followed by a Q&A session

An opportunity to listen to a panel of academic staff talk about how they have developed their careers, and to answer your questions on all elements of how to get your first job, how to progress, and what the day-to-day work is like. 

Aims/ Objectives:

This session will help you:

1. understand the nature of working as an academic in HE in the UK
2. understand the steps you will need to take now in order to maximise your chances of entering the sector

By the end of the session you will:

1. have an understanding of possible modes of entry into academia
2. know what your next step should be if you are considering working in this sector
3. have had the opportunity to ask questions of professionals working in the sector
