Event Description This course is designed to help you understand the life cycle of non-research projects in Agresso. It is aimed at finance staff who are responsible for managing projects.
Event Aims By the end of this session, you should understand: • Types of Project and know where to find information on what types of Project are available to use • How creation of Projects are approved • The information held in the Project Masterfile • How to set up a Project correctly • How to find a list of Projects • Month end procedures around Projects • How to close Projects correctly • Good Project maintentance during the life of the project
Event audience/exemptions This course is aimed at finance staff who are responsible for setting up / managing projects. It is assumed that you use / will need to use the Project Masterfile as part of your role.
Prerequisites • It is essential that you have an Agresso log-on, and access to the Project Management Module in advance of the course. If you do not have one and need one for your role, you can request one here: https://workspace.nottingham.ac.uk/display/ABW/New+Users+and+Changes+to+Access • Understanding of Agresso structure – cost centres, sofgroups, relations. What we use projects for as opposed to account codes. • Understanding of University reporting – management accounts
