This course explores the benefits of self-coaching and how it can help you find solutions to challenges or problems you face. You’ll learn when to use self-coaching, how to structure an effective self-coaching conversation, and how to develop the right mindset to make it work for you. No matter how big or small your challenge is you'll walk away with a method to help you move things forward.
This workshop relates to the: “Innovation and Problem solving”, “Self-leadership” and “Adaptability”competencies outlined in the Competency Framework.
Learning outcomes:
Understand what self-coaching is and the role of a growth mindset.
Use a self-coaching model to ask yourself powerful questions and set effective goals.
Develop action plans and build accountability to achieve your goals
Please be aware that this workshop is a discussion-based session with breakout group exercises. You do not have to share anything you are not comfortable with but bear in mind you will be asked to reflect on your own experiences.
After attending this course, the recommended progression would be to attend “Introduction to coaching” or “Listening Skills.”
