Overview of the course
This course explores the principles of reflective and evidence-based practice in teaching and supporting learning. You will explore how adopting a reflective approach enhances teaching delivery and supports student success. The session also outlines expectations for using these methods in achieving teaching recognition and accreditation, equipping you with the tools to critically evaluate and refine your practice.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this session, you will be able to:
Define what reflective and evidence-based practice is in teaching and supporting learning
Identify how a reflective appraoch can improve teaching delivery
Explain expectations around reflective and evidence based approaches in teaching recognition and accreditation
This course is delivered by a member of the Learning and Development Team
Who should attend?
PGTA’s already in post, technicians, library staff, early academics, returners to teaching, international academics and anyone who delivers or supports teaching and wants to develop their practice.
Attendance
Participants are required to attend a minimum of 90% of any synchronous online training course to be marked as "Attended." Attendance is tracked through the attendance record generated by Microsoft Teams, which monitors login times and the duration of attendance in the session.
