Overview of the course
This course equips participants with strategies to adapt teaching activities and resources to diverse learning environments and individual needs. Participants will explore inclusive teaching practices that foster respect for diversity and create engaging learning environments. They will also analyse approaches to provide tailored support for learners from various backgrounds, ensuring successful outcomes.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this session you will be able to:
Demonstrate the ability to adapt teaching activities, resources, and approaches to suit diverse learning environments and the needs of individual learners
Evaluate inclusive teaching practices to ensure active learner engagement using cultural and social protocols to foster respect for diversity creates an inclusive learning environment.
Analyse approaches to provide effective support tailored to learners from various backgrounds, utilising appropriate resources to achieve successful outcomes.
Who should attend?
PGTA’s already in post, technicians, libraries, early academics, returners to teaching, international academics and anyone who delivers or supports teaching and wants to develop their practice.
Attendance
Participants are required to attend a minimum of 90% of any synchronous online training course to be marked as "Attended." Attendance is tracked through the attendance record generated by Microsoft Teams, which monitors login times and the duration of attendance in the session.
