Distinguish between formative and summative feedback and identify appropriate contexts for each type.
Describe the mechanisms and expectations for providing feedback when in a teaching role at UoN.
Construct specific, actionable and timely feedback using effective techniques such as feedback on both process and product.
Who should attend?
Staff and PGR’s who are at the beginning of your teaching journey. You may be a:
Newly appointed Post Graduate Teaching Assistant (PGTA’s)
Demonstrator
Technician
Anyone who has aspects of delivery or support of teaching and learning in their role and is new to teaching. E.g. roles such as: librarians, careers advisors, education and student engagement, residential experience, support and wellbeing, and counselling.
Post Graduate Research student (PGR’s)
This course is delivered by a member of the Learning and Development Team
