This course includes:
Main requirements of the DSE Regulations and the University policy for implementing the regulations
Health effects which can arise from DSE work
Assessments of workstations using standard forms to produce a clear record
Ergonomic aspects of DSE workstations that can help to minimise adverse health effects
How to draw conclusions from the assessment and make recommendations for action
How to identify your limitations and draw on further expertise if needed
Who should attend:
Those having responsibility for DSE Assessments - new assessors or those requiring validation of self-teaching.
This course is only for employees of the University, it is not applicable to students or non-University staff.
Attendance Notice
We are working with external trainers to expand our offering, so please prioritise your booking to help us utilise these resources effectively.
Cancellations: If you cannot attend, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
Reporting: Please note that non-attendance is reported to Line Managers, Heads of Business Units, and FPVCs.
Absences: If you have a legitimate reason for missing a session (e.g. illness), please let us know so we can update our records and ensure you aren't unfairly penalised.
