This session is designed for any member of staff who has responsibility for team management, strategic leadership and people performance. 

 

This session will cover approaches to strategically developing talent within UoN. Introducing the new Talent Management framework, this session will provide an opportunity to share and discuss best practice in retaining, developing and recognising high performance and identifying potential.  

  

 

Learning Outcomes:   

  • Understand the stages of the new UoN Talent Management Framework to reflect on your own approaches to managing talent  
  • Consider inclusive approaches to strategically develop talent within your team, including succession planning  
  • Share best practice, challenges and new ideas for nurturing talent with colleagues across the organisation  
  • Identify follow up resources and support to help you most effectively develop your teams  

 

This workshop relates to the “Communication”, “Leading others: Drives performance”, “Leading others: Promotes wellbeing and inclusion” competencies outlined in the Competency Framework.   

 

Please note this session will cover broad themes that will cover core principles, techniques and advice that are universally relevant to help effectively manage talent. Therefore, this will not cover specific advice for individual job roles/pathways.
