Embracing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Nottingham (Online Course)

Overview:
This course is part of the All Staff Statutory training and this short online eLearning package explores what EDI means at the University of Nottingham.  The training aims to reinforce the importance of ensuring UoN values underpin all that we do in order to ensure a safe inclusive community for everyone.


Learning Outcomes:
  • Clarify what EDI means at the UoN
  • Reinforce the importance of our values
  • Outline our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010
  • Raise awareness of the diverse nature of the UoN population and the part we all play in ensuring true inclusivity
  • Increase understanding of discrimination outlined under the Equality Act
  • Summarise the UoN EDI priorities


Statutory training is defined as the training that the University is legally required to provide all employed staff as defined in law (and consequently legislation can be referenced) or where a statutory body has instructed us to provide training on the basis of legislation


Please ensure that you complete the training within the first month of joining the University and consequently complete refresher training within the three year expiry period.
