Overview 

This course explores what EDI means at the University of Nottingham.  The course aims to reinforce the importance of ensuring the University’s values underpin all that we do in order to ensure a safe and inclusive community for everyone.   

Learning outcomes 

• Understand what EDI means at the University and how it aligns with our values 

• Understand your responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 

• Have an awareness of the diverse nature of the University’s population and the part we all play in ensuring true inclusivity 

• Have an increased understanding of discrimination outlined in the Equality Act 

• Be aware of the University’s EDI principles  

Who should complete this training 

This course forms part of the suite of compliance e-learning modules that all staff (plus Associates and Postgraduate Researchers – PGR's) are required to complete within 3 months of joining the University.  This course needs to be repeated every 3 years 

Accessing the training 

If you are a staff member you should access this learning through your learning account in Unicore.  If you are an Associate, PGR or are required to complete this learning as part of your role and do not have a Unicore learning account you should access this training by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page and click book.
