Microsoft Excel Module 2 : Formatting, AutoFill and Functions

In this course, you will learn how to quickly create professional looking Excel spreadsheets by adding borders, shading cells, merging and centre headings. We will make use of the Autofill feature to reduce manual typing and use common Functions (a predefined formula that performs calculations using specific values).

Learning outcomes:
  • Create simple spreadsheets
  • Checking for and understanding errors using the Formula Auditing feature
  • Using sum, average, highest value and lowest value Functions
  • Insert, delete and resize rows and columns
  • Format rows and columns in a worksheet
  • Understand and use formatting features including Wrapping and Merging

Pre-Requisites:

Delegates are required to have Microsoft Excel 2016 or above installed on their computer.  The features and techniques used in the course cannot be completed in the online Office365 version of Microsoft Excel.
