This combined workshop focuses on best practices for using EchoPoll and EchoVideo to enhance student engagement, interactivity, and accessibility in your teaching. The session integrates practical guidance, hands-on activities, and reflective discussion to support effective use of both platforms.


Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Configure EchoPoll Courses and link them to Moodle Modules to target specific student cohorts.
  • Apply gamification techniques in EchoPoll, including team-based polling, scoring, leaderboards, and ranking slides.
  • Incorporate symbolic notation and images into polls using the web interface.
  • Understand compliance and data protection considerations related to polling and video content.
  • Use EchoVideo to distribute lecture captures effectively and accessibly.
  • Edit video content and transcripts to enhance clarity and ensure accessibility through closed captions and downloadable transcripts.
  • Reflect on and share teaching practices with peers in a collaborative setting.
