Assessment and Certification:

Each learner is continuously assessed by the trainer/assessor during their training and then a practical assessment is conducted on the last day. It is then both the responsibility and decision of the trainer/assessor to determine if each learner has reached the level required to become a first aider within the work place.

Successful learners will be certified by The International Certification and Training Academy (TICTA) which is valid for three years from course completion date.

Upon successful completion of the course, first aiders receive certification to allow them to practice for three years after which a re-qualification 2 day course becomes necessary.

Requalification to maintain certification:

The requalification must be carried out within 28 days of expiry of the previous certificate otherwise the full First Aid at Work must be undertaken as appropriate to be re-established as a first aider.

Additionally, it is recommended that you update your skills by taking an annual refresher: First Aid at Work Requalification course
