Microsoft Excel: More Functions

Before attending this course you are strongly recommended to attend the Microsoft Excel Functions and Formulas course  which will give you the core foundations necessary to attend and fully participate in this course. 

In this course you will learn how to work with and create more advanced functions and features that will enable you to search, match and pre-populate your data.  Using these functions will allow analysis, manipulation and comparison of your data for a variety of purposes.

Learning Outcomes:

At the completion of this course you should be able to:

  • Understand formula theory
  • Use functions from the statistics options such as Count If, Count A, Median, Mode, Standard Deviation, etc.
  • Work with date and time functions
  • Operate a range of logical functions e.g. , If, And, OR, NOT, IfError
  • Create and use labels and names in a workbook
  • Apply lookup functions

Pre-Requisites:
The course is designed for participants who have attended the “Microsoft Excel Functions and Formulas” course or have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

To participate in this session you will need to have the latest version of Microsoft Office installed on your device before the session starts. If you are unsure if you have the latest version please see the Install Office Updates web page.  This session will focus on the Windows version of Microsoft Office.

Course Leader input, demonstrations, and hands-on practical sessions.

You are required to attend the whole of the course, this is not a "drop in" session.
