Target audience: researchers, and those who support researchers, with little or no previous knowledge of IP.

Course description:

This course will provide a general introduction to IP in the research context, focussing on why IP is important and the main areas of IP (trademarks, patents, branding, copyright). It will be delivered by Vitae associates who are experts in training and IP/commercialisation on behalf of the national IP Office (IPO). There will also be specialist input from the University’s Technology Transfer Office who will provide information on the university’s approach, policies and processes related to IP.

Process:

You will need to have access to an internet connection to take part in this webinar.

By registering for this webinar you confirm that you understand that the data collected during the booking process will be shared with Vitae/CRAC and the IPO for the purposes of delivering and evaluating the training programme.

As a participant in this webinar will be asked to complete 3 online surveys, as one of the National IPO’s aims is to track the impact of this training. You will be asked to complete the first survey when you register. The second survey will be immediately after the webinar and the final survey will be emailed to those who opt in 3 months after the webinar.
