Doing Research Digitally: An introduction to UoN Digital Expertise, Services, Tools and Environments
In this seminar we will introduce a wide-range of different digital services to support and enable research, covering areas such as research data management, data analytics, high performance computing, remote collaboration and data visualisation. We will include a number of different creative case studies across disciplines and a series of technology demonstrators to showcase the benefits of the services available to you and your postgraduate researchers. The seminar will also be held in the Digital Solutions Hub, which is a brand new facility for getting hands on and experimenting with new digital services for research, and also exploring the role of digital in teaching and learning. This interactive and introductory session will help you understand what is possible digitally at the university, and help identify how to learn more about each of the services.
