This online course is run by the Researcher Academy 

The Researcher Academy courses are very popular and the majority are run in both semesters to give you the opportunity to attend at a time of the year that suits you. 

Target Audience: This session is for postgraduate researchers and research staff who would have read the online Moodle content “Editing academic writing” and would like to put some time aside to edit a piece of academic writing.

Aims/ Objectives:

The aim of this course is to provide a designated time to edit a piece of academic writing.

This session is an optional online session that requires participants to have read in detail the resources in Moodle entitled “Editing academic writing”. It is a session with no formal teaching and is simply some time for you to practise using some of the techniques discussed in the Moodle resources on your own.

Process

This is an online session via Teams, with no formal teaching and is simply an allotted time for you to edit a piece of academic writing following the techniques discussed in the online Moodle resources entitled “Editing academic writing”.

This is an online session within Microsoft Teams. On the day of the session please use the link in this email to join the meeting. Please do not click the link in this email until the day of the session.

You will need a headset or speakers for the webinar and we recommend that you join 10 minutes before the webinar is due to start so that you can test them. Please mute your microphone, switch off your webcam and open the chat box function as you join the Teams meeting. Any questions can be asked via the chat box.
