Time to Write (2 hour)
Duration 2 hours
Team Researcher Academy

This online course is run by the Researcher Academy

The Researcher Academy courses are very popular and the majority are run in both semesters to give you the opportunity to attend at a time of the year that suits you.

Target audience: Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research Students and Research-focussed Staff ('postdocs', Research Assistants, Research Fellows etc).

The “Time to Write” sessions are a structured session where you write in timed intervals. They are designed to help you focus when writing. In order to get the most out of the sessions, you should have something to write as the sessions are focused around writing.

Structure:

This is an ONLINE session. You will be sent a MS Teams link once you book onto this session. Please join the team as soon as you receive this information by clicking the link provided. A request will then be made to the tutor who will accept you into the team approximately 30 minutes before the start of the session. Please do not leave joining the team until the last minute at risk of disturbing those who have already begun writing.

Please be ready to start writing at the session start time. It is advisable that you get everything you need ready 15 minutes before the start.

You will be told when to start and stop writing (for each cycle) using the chat function. After the session the team will be deleted.

You will need to have:

  • A laptop or desktop computer
