This course is part of the All Staff Statutory Training and will provide the delegate with a holistic Health and Safety induction to our University.
Understand hazards that are present at the university
Understand the legal duties you and your manager have
Know how to raise a health and safety incident and respond to emergencies
Know how the Health and Safety department provides support to the university community
Statutory training is defined as the training that the University is legally required to provide all employed staff as defined in law (and consequently legislation can be referenced) or where a statutory body has instructed us to provide training on the basis of legislation.
Please ensure that you complete the training within the first month of joining the University and consequently complete refresher training within the three year expiry period.
