Health and Safety Induction compliance training

Overview 

This course provides all new members of staff with an introduction to Health and Safety at the University   

Learning outcomes 

• Be able to identify hazards that are present at the University 

• Understand the legal duties staff and line managers have regarding health and safety 

• Know how to raise a health and safety incident and respond to emergencies 

• Know how the health and safety department can support you at the university 

Who should complete this training 

This course forms part of the suite of compliance e-learning modules that all staff (plus Associates and Post graduate Researchers – PGR's) are required to complete within 3 months of joining the University.   

Accessing the training

If you are a staff member you should access this learning through your learning account in Unicore. If you are an Associate, PGR or are required to complete this learning as part of your role and do not have a Unicore learning account you should access this training by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page and click book. 

All staff compliance training also includes the following which need to be completed within 3 months of your start date: -
