Academics and research staff with some experience of public engagement, and APM staff whose roles include supporting academics on impact work. 

Learning Outcomes 

This session will explore the challenges of evaluating public engagement activity,and look beyond the paper-based survey at more creative evaluation techniques. 
 

Participants will: 

  • develop an awareness of the value and importance of evaluating public engagement. 
  • Consider the process of evaluation and the usefulness of planning. 
  • consider the uses of evaluation including improving activities; sharing good practice and reporting. 
  • to explore the issues and challenges of evaluating public engagement 
  • Gain familiarity with a range of evaluation techniques
