Course Description: This session is designed to share how communications in general and storytelling in particular, impacts on the people around us. It builds from exploring how communication works, into the ‘science behind storytelling’ and ends with a practical session where everyone gets to tell a little of their own story and see how that impacts the people around them.
Learning objectives: • Explain the impact that our communication choices have on the outcome we intend • Describe how leaders need to know their own preferences to understand how their communications land • Discuss if people want to hear our stories • Explain the Disney method of storytelling and how it applies to us • Practise storytelling to understand how our story impacts the audience
