Pre-requisites Participants must have studied Improvement Pratitioner 2 (Orange belt) Practical level in order to study this course.
Course aim This course is designed to build on participants knowledge of improvement tools and methodologies of Lean Six Sigma thinking. The focus of this course is the application of Lean Six Sigma PDCA methods to real-life improvement projects. It focuses on the key tools and techniques of Lean Six Sigma that you are most likely to utilise in an HE environment to Green Belt depth. The interactive days use a set of scenarios and exercises to demonstrate how the application of Lean Six Sigma can achieve understanding, recognition and delivery of opportunities in your area of the University.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
Gain knowledge of the principles and methodologies of leading a Lean Six Sigma improvement project to Green Belt level in any HE environment
Learn/revisit the basics of project and change management in the context of Lean improvement projects
Explore where tools and techniques can be applied in their own working environments to bring about sustainable improvements in their processes and ways of working
The course is studied over 4 days, and all 4 days must be attended to complete.
