Exciting times ahead as we are currently taking some time to build on the success of our previous training material and put our own continuous improvement tools into action to meet emerging needs of Future Nottingham  

We anticipate testing will begin September 2024. If you would like to be involved in testing the new material as it is developed please get in touch.  



This course will be run face to face over 1 full day.

Who should attend:

This course is open to all University Staff and Postgraduate Research students.

Pre-Requisites for attending the course:


Attendees MUST have completed the Improvement Practitioner: An Introduction to Lean Six Sigma Yellowbelt course

Course Aims:

This course is designed to build on participants' knowledge of improvement tools and methodologies of Lean Six Sigma thinking. The interactive day uses a set of scenarios and exercises to demonstrate how the application of Lean Six Sigma can achieve understanding, recognition and delivery of opportunities in your area of the University.

Learning Aims:

  • Gain a basic understanding of how to enable sustainable change by engaging people with your improvements.
  • Learn the basics of project and change management in the context of Lean improvement projects.
  • Embed further your Lean Six Sigma learning using PDCA (through simulated activities)

It builds on the foundation concepts and key tools/techniques needed to progress onto the Improvement Practitioner 3: Improving performance through Lean Six Sigma Management- HE Green Belt
