This session will look at making multimedia materials accessible for students across the university.
In the first half of the session, we’ll look at the issues around lecture capture and captioning, and the differences between live lectures and pre-recorded materials. We’ll discuss different types of media and when and how to add captions to them.
In the second half of the session, we’ll talk about making your videos as accessible as possible. We will provide you with hints and tips about the creation process, microphone use and other accessibility issues. This part of the session will be especially useful for those who pre-record videos for their teaching content.
