Who should attend

This course is available to managers/team leaders only. It is for you if you want some ideas as to why some people’s behaviours are difficult or challenging and (more importantly) about how to manage such situations.

Course Description

Sometimes a team member can behave in a way that is difficult for others to work with and perhaps challenging for you to manage. This behaviour may be infrequent or may be a regular pattern. The behaviour may affect you and other team members, reducing the morale and potentially the output of the team. This course will help you to examine the potential reasons for such behaviour. It will also help you to tackle such behaviour.

 Topics covered include:

  • Types of problem behaviour
  • Examination of reasons for the behaviour (including team context, leadership, motivation and ability
  • Tackling the behaviour, including when and how
  • Reminder of assertiveness techniques
  • Overcoming additional challenges in the process – such as remote working

This course is also offered as a shorter on-line version.
