MHFA England First aider training (2 day-Adult)
Duration 2 days
Team Professional Development

Thank you for your interest in completing the two-day Mental Health First Aid England accredited course and for volunteering to be an advocate for mental health in the university community.

The Adult Mental Health First Aid programme leads to accreditation by Mental Health First Aid England as a Mental Health First Aider.  This is a nationally recognised qualification and a role which is valued by the University. When you complete the training you'll get a certificate to say you are a Mental Health First Aider, which will need to be renewed with a half day refresher after 3 years.

In line with our Staff Wellbeing and Mental Health Strategy we have aligned our mental health training offer to different staff roles and responsibilities within the university. We are advising that this course is undertaken by those in specialist roles such as H&S, Security and colleagues working in student wellbeing.

Please complete this form to explain why you wish to undertake the course. If successful, you will then be booked on to the course of your choosing by our Learning and Development Coordinators.

On completion of the course, your name will be added to the SharePoint list of Mental Health First Aiders and you will also be added to our Mental health First Aid network teams channel.

Please note that this programme is delivered in a variety of modes including 2 full days, 4 half days and online.
