Mymynd:Overcoming Self-criticism
Duration 0.5 days
Team Professional Development
Protecting Mental Health and Promoting Wellbeing

Context

Self-criticism can sometimes be a little voice inside your head that says you're not good enough or that you're not doing enough. It's when you are being too hard on yourself and it can begin to impact how you feel about who you are, your relationships and ultimately your mental health.
Our workshop will help you understand that inner critic - you'll learn tools to help manage negative self-talk and replace that with more positive thoughts. We'll help you feel empowered to recognise and overcome that inner critic, so that you can feel better about yourself and feel better equipped to support both yourself and others.

Session outcomes
  1. Understand what we mean by self-criticism and why we experience it.
  2. How does self-criticism impact our wellbeing and how can we become less self-critical, and support others to do so too.
  3. Build out a practical toolkit of resources and strategies to support ourselves and others effectively and proactively.
